Denee Evans
CEO, CMLS
Denee Evans is the CEO of CMLS, the largest professional organization dedicated to the MLS industry in North America. It currently has 234 members, including 163 MLSs providers that represent about 1 million subscribers.
As CEO, Denee is responsible for implementing the organization’s strategic plan, overseeing daily operations, and empowering members to stay ahead of advancing technology, legal issues, and cutting-edge management practices. She is also moving the organization forward to shape the future of the MLS industry.
Denee has a proven track record of leading organizations into the future by developing new industry models. As the executive director of EnergyFit Nevada, she transformed an official Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Quality Assurance/Quality Control evaluation initiative into a statewide collaborative authority on energy efficiency by raising public awareness about energy efficiency, providing $14.5 million of lifetime energy savings to homeowners, and infusing $5 million into local economies in Nevada.
Today, she serves on the organization’s board of directors. Prior, she developed the low interest revolving loan fund for energy efficiency retrofits that became an industry model for Nevada after nearly a decade of experience as a recognized executive with two Fortune 500 financial institutions.
As an executive, Evans has been recognized by the United States Green Building Council, Las Vegas Business Press, and the Denver Board of Realtors Affiliate Council. She has also been a featured speaker for several organizations, including Young Nonprofit Professionals, Alliance to Save Energy, and ACI National Conference.
Evans earned a bachelor’s degree in finance, with an emphasis in real estate, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has earned several professional designations, including LEED Green Associate from the U.S. Green Building Council and Series 7, 66, Life & Health investment licenses while at American Express Financial Advisors.
Her passion is to strengthen communities through financial investment, real estate development, innovation, and technology. She lives in Las Vegas with her husband and their two children.
